«UKTD» company became a partner of VIII Conference-Forum «Metal-2009: management, production, trade and consumption», which was held June 30, 2009 in Kiev. During the event participants discussed macroeconomic aspects of steel industry development, the current situation in Ukrainian mining and steel industry, crisis solution strategies for enterprises in Ukraine, as well as domestic and foreign problems of steel trade.

«Ferroalloys Summit 2009»
Representatives of the «UKTD» company participated in «Ferroalloys Summit 2009», which was held on April 29-30, 2009 in Sanya (Hainan Island, China). Since Asian Metal’s successful hosting of the first Ferroalloys Summit in 2007, this summit rapidly becomes a top grand-gathering in ferroalloys and its related fields, drawing much attention from global participants.
During the summit Senior Chinese officials clarified and detailed macro-controlling policies and export strategies of the development of Chinese ferroalloys industry, as well as presented analysis and forecast of Chinese economy for 2008. Also international speakers have discussed the prospects of world market of ferroalloys.

II International Scientific and Technical Conference (UkrFA)
«UKTD» company sponsored the II International Scientific and Technical Conference «The key issues of Electrometallurgical industry development», which was held on April 23-24, 2009 in the «President Hotel», Kiev. The organizer of the event (“Ukrainian Association of Ferroalloys and other Electrometallurgical products” - UkrFA) got together delegates from the leading enterprises of Ukraine, government organizations, business and scientific circles to discuss immediate problems of the industry, which is under climate of current financial crises. During the conference participants also raised some technical and scientific questions on industrial upgrading of Ukrainian enterprises.
